Mongolia is high, cold, and dry. It has an extreme continental climate with long, cold winters and short summers, during which most precipitation falls. The country averages 257 cloudless days a year, and it is usually at the center of a region of high atmospheric pressure. Mongolia is justifiably known as ‘the Land of Blue Sky’ It is however a land of temperature extremes. The winter continues long with cold temperature but summer is hot and not so long. Winter lasts from November to late April, Spring May through June. Summer continued from July through to September. The average summer temperature is +20c (+65F) . Winter is -20c (-13F) . The wind is 1.5-4.5m/s.
